Denotation: The double page spread consists of a dull black and white photograph with the man looking slightly down towards an angle. The camera shot that has been taken here is a medium close up showing his head and only part of his body with one hand up in the air pointing to the sky. There isn't much of a background as it's quite plain and simple.
Colour Scheme: The colour scheme set out on this double page spread is consistant as there is only 2 main colours used which are black and white but a light blue colour is used only in one small section of the double page spread.
Image: One main large image taking up one whole side of the double page spread. The subject of the image has his head tilted down to a certain angle with only showing part of his body and has one hand showing pointing to the sky or what ever is above his head.
Subject Name: Amongst the double page spread is a certain section which is highlighted that grabs the readers attention most and this happens to be the section that is highlighted in the light blue colour. It is the only section on the double page spread that is in a different colour to the colour scheme and so therefor it stands out.
Stand-first: The stand first for this double page spread is the first section of writing that you see on the first page and this sections starts with the words 'after well over 20 years' and so on. You can tell that this is the stand-first because it is the first paragraph that is presented on the double page spread.
Quotes: The quote that is used in this double page spread is not a very clear understanding as to where it is located. It is located at the bottom left of the first page but is a very small font so it is quite hard to read and understand; but when you are able to read and understand then you can see that it is well put together and presented in a good way. You can see where it is placed on the double page spread.
By-Line: The section where the journalist name is presented is at the bottom of the left hand side on the first page. It isn't quite clear or understanding of where it is and it doesn't give a good description of anything such as the setting, lighting or anything else. It is quite a dull piece of writing and isn't understood very well.
